Description
Marvel Animation Character Design, Ultimate Spider-Man, HAMMERHEAD. Digital Art.
In the fourth season episode entitled, "Return to the Spider-Verse (Part 3)," Hammerhead makes his appearance as a mob boss in a world where everything looks like it exists in a classic noir film from the 1930s.
I enjoyed this chance to draw one of Spider-Man's most memorable enemies, inspired by the works of John Romita Sr., Gil Kane, and Ross Andru. Hammerhead is a character deliberately reminiscent of the old Dick Tracy villains, helping to make Spider-Man's rogues gallery every bit as colorful as the Chester Gould comic strip creations.
As always, these are my own color selections completed after the fact, just for fun, and not reflective of the final screen version. I hope you like it. Thanks for viewing!

I really dig this guy’s design, especially the geometric design of the head.
Dumb question, but was this character by any chance inspired by the Hammerheads from Oz? I can’t help but notice a similarity XD.
