WB Animation Character Design, YOUNG JUSTICE, Thugz. Pencil, Digital Color.

In the YOUNG JUSTICE episode, "Welcome to Happy Harbor," these esteemed gentlemen briefly appeared on the Star City waterfront, as business associates of the man known as Brick. I was tempted to refer to them as "The Briquettes." Heh. Instead, I gave them names that will only be used here: "Hoody Boy," "Git N Payd," "Daddy Lidz," and, of course, "Henry." The hip-hop "gangsta" culture is extremely ridiculous to me, and one presumes that it's a culture that cannot take itself too seriously. Sadly, this is not always the case.

As always, the color selections are my own, and good practice for me. I hope you like it. Thanks for viewing!

speaking of thugs, I'm remind of the fact that while the Teen Titan comics take place in San Francisco, they never deal with the crime that's happening in Oakland....

Maybe they're scared of getting shot... or laughed at...

I think the reason they look so upset is because no one seems to understand the simple fact that these young men are highly self-conscious. They're not covering their faces to intimidate people. maybe they just have bad cases of teenage acne! Our judgemental, institutionally-racist society needs to stop reading books by their covers :no:.
And what's more- one of them is getting paid! Look, there, an underminer to the young unemployment culture!
/sarcasm.
No but really, they just need some T(ender) L(ove) and C(care).
