YOUNG JUSTICE: RUMAAN HARJAVTI WALL

In the Season One episode, "Image," The Batman informs The Team about curious events in Qurac. In a press conference, their democratically elected president, Rumaan Harjavti, a prominent humanitarian, has announced his sudden alliance with Queen Bee, the dictator of the neighboring nation of Bialya. Harjavti reveals that he is stepping down to surrender all power to Queen Bee. He has censored the news media, subdued all protests, and has permitted Bialyan troops to occupy the Quraci capital of Dhabar, enforcing martial law. These developments arouse suspicion that Harjavti may be being manipulated, possibly under psychic control. The Batman dispatches The Team to uncover the truth, with Robin as mission leader.

For this design, I endeavored to include more ethnic distinction in the features of the character, instead of simply submitting a generic guy in a business suit, depending on color to make him unique. These colors, applied long after the fact, are my own selections, and do not reflect the version appearing in the final animation. I inserted the QUEEN BEE MURAL as a memory marker, recalling the episode in which this character first appeared in the show.
