YOUNG JUSTICE: LUCAS 'SNAPPER' CARR by Jerome-K-Moore YOUNG JUSTICE: LUCAS 'SNAPPER' CARR by Jerome-K-Moore
WB Animation Character Design, YOUNG JUSTICE, Lucas "Snapper" Carr. Pencil, Digital Color.

Carr makes his first appearance on YOUNG JUSTICE in the episode, "Welcome to Happy Harbor," and Producer Greg Weisman supplies his voice. When I learned that Carr would be a schoolteacher, I designed him after a character I saw actor Noah Wyle play in the film, "Donnie Darko."

These are my own color selections, and the art style is established by Phil Bourassa, Lead Character Designer on the show. All characters presented are the exclusive property of Warner Bros Animation, and DC Comics.

Thanks for viewing!

Wasn't he a reporter for the justice league in the army 2000's? He actually looks snappy no snap pun intended

He was only a reporter on the show. In the comics, he was the sidekick of the Justice League and then eventual mentor of Young Justice.

It's cool that you gave Snapper some credibility. Y'know, him being an annoying tag-along teenager in the early Justice League stories who turned out to be a traitor because Dennis O'Neil wanted to write him out of the series.

I love how he's snapping, though. And in the world of Young Justice, it was probably really cool when he worked with the team.

Minute he snapped his fingers, I knew.

And I can see the Noah Wyle resemblance.

Cool, but I didn't mean to imply that I designed him to resemble anybody. Inspiration, in this case, simply means that Wyle's portrayal was on my mind at the time I drew this.

Yes it is. I have a reprint of The Brave and the Bold #28 (which marked the first apperence of him and the Justice League) and in it he says "You hear these fingers snapping, Flash? That's my way of showing I like something! That's why the cats around here call me Snapper!" I should also note it was written in 1960, and I guess that's just how teens talked back then (or at least how the writers thought they talked).

saw the episode on big screen at the comic, couple weeks ago, ad really liked it.

"What is Rhelasia?" "better than Fakeasia?"
that line really cracks me up.

and I guessed right, about the model/inspiration. it's actually more apparent now that Wyle plays in Falling Skies
