YOUNG JUSTICE: KAREN BEECHER by Jerome-K-Moore YOUNG JUSTICE: KAREN BEECHER by Jerome-K-Moore
WB Animation Character Design, YOUNG JUSTICE, Karen Beecher. Pencil, Digital Color.

Well, with the accidental airing of the episode, "Targets," as well as its screening at San Diego Comic Con 2011, I suppose it's okay to post the design for Karen Beecher. She appears briefly in a scene at Happy Harbor High with Megan Morse, and Conner Kent.
These are my own color selections, and the art style is established by Phil Bourassa, Lead Character Designer on the show. All characters presented are the exclusive property of Warner Bros Animation, and DC Comics.

Thanks for viewing!

Always enjoyed the Easter eggs you guys threw on the show (sorry for the notifications, but I'm so sad right now, so I'm going through all your Young Justice work)

Pardon me for answering a question with another question, but why would I tell you that, and spoil any possible surprises? Do you really want to know in advance if they do or not? Really, where's the fun in that? And how would that be fair to the writers and producers of the show?

I'm sorry, but it amazes me how many fans of the show actually want me to reveal secrets, as if they cannot contain their curiosity. But curiosity is part of the fun of it all. Don't you agree? :)

Love it! I'd love to see her as Bumblebee, I'd love to see Barbra as Batgirl more though, ;) Any chance of either thing happening in the for-seeable future?

Cyborg does make an appearance in the upcoming Direct-To-DVD feature, "Justice League: Doom." The release date is sometime next year.

And she's tough enough, ain't gonna take no guff.
Got a cutter stashed away, beneath her cuff.
So, ya better drop the bluff, before she rips your fluff,
And ya gotta limp away, in a hasty huff.

LOL!

I <3 her design here! She looks so good with dimples and looks teen-age. In "Targets", she had the Beverly Hills 90120 older teenage look...

Yeah. Sometimes the animators can't quite capture certain subtleties inherent in a character design. Their approximations wind up slightly off-model. But this is the nature of the beast.

A whole lot of practice! If you see an artist you like you can try to emulate their style. Use your local library to find books on particular things you like to draw. Even look on here to find tutorials and whatnot that show you how different artists approach their artwork. Deviant is full of great information!

no one can tell you HOW to draw. you just take a drawing instrument and do it. there is no magic involved just practice. whether you have natural talent or not everyone has to practice to hone the skill. the key is patience and knowing your first couple drawings maybe even after a year wont be perfect, but if you keep drawing and continue to progress, you will see how far you have come which might help motivate you to continue drawing.

in short, dont ask someone to tell you how to draw. the only thing you can do is take lessons at a school and/or have friends give you a drawing prompt everyday. or dont, it's up to you.

not at all, I don't do requests. and it's best not to bug people to do requests unless someone offers. it's etiquette 101

There are artists who do commissions, which means you can pay them to draw certain things for you. Many times they'll post something to this effect on their home deviantart page. So check some of the artists you watch and see, or you can send them a note to find out if they do commissions. Good luck!
