WB Animation Character Design, YOUNG JUSTICE: INVASION, Clayface. Pencil, Digital Color.

In the opening episode of Season Two, entitled, "Happy New Year," members of the Team battle Clayface in the sewage tunnels beneath Gotham City. Utilizing excellent group battle tactics, Robin is able to distract the monster as Superboy forces an explosive pellet down Clayface's gullet. The gooey villain is immobilized as his body oozes and erupts with a hardening foam which encases him entirely, from the inside out.

Clayface was designed by Phil Bourassa for the show, the creature having appeared in a previous episode from Season One. It was my task to render a panel from this episode's storyboard, demonstrating for the overseas animators how we wanted this foam effect to work. It's pretty gross any way you look at it, but that also makes it pretty cool.
I hope you like it! Thanks for viewing!

That was really cool, also add to that the shock of the show jumping forward 5 years.
