WB Animation Character Design, YOUNG JUSTICE, Amanda Waller. Pencil, Digital color.
In the episode, "Terrors," Amanda Waller appears as the warden of Belle Reve State Penitentiary. The atmosphere inside the prison reminded me of "The Shawshamk Redemption," one of my favorite films. Waller certainly comes across as tough-as-nails, albeit not corrupt like Warden Norton (played brilliantly in the neo-classic film by actor Bob Gunton).
I designed Waller, starting from a rough sketch provided by Emmy Award-winning Lead Character Designer, Phil Bourassa. I re-worked things a little bit, going in a direction inspired by the Amanda Waller I remembered from DC Comics, as she appeared in issues of Suicide Squad. I hope you like it.
*As always, all YJ characters are the legal property of DC Comics, and Warner Bros Animation

Nicely done, the only other version of Amanda Waller I'm familiar with is the Justice League Unlimited version voiced by CCH Pounder.
When I found out the Young Justice version was voiced by Sheryl Lee Ralph I was taken aback.
If you look at her character Dee on Moesha, she has a similar no-nonsense demeanor (excuse the quality of the video)
