USM: HYDRA DARK VULTURE

Marvel Animation Character Design, Ultimate Spider-Man, HYDRA DARK VULTURE.

Once again, in Season Four of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, I was called upon to design some detailed and technical stuff, which I hate to do.  It's a harder challenge for me.  But-- soldier on, right?  In this case, they wanted a second iteration of the Vulture in Hydra armor, an even darker version.  So, I returned to my previous model, and changed some of the details to convey more aggressive menace.  This basically consisted of reworking the helmet, adding spikes, and bladed edges to the wingtips.   As before I was also called upon to actually articulate how the wings emerge and deploy from the egg-shaped rocket-backpack, so I revised my previous animated sequence.  Long after the fact, I have added my own dark color scheme (which is not intended to match the final screen version).
As with the other Hydra Vulture design, my suggestion was that the mechanical wings operate much like those of The Falcon, Sam Wilson, as seen in the Marvel movies.  They do NOT FLAP!!!  Uhh-- yeah, they completely ignored this suggestion, at least with my previous Hydra Vulture design.   Oh, well....
