Comic Book Cover, DC Comics, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION. Pencil, ink, china marker. Guinan was a tough one to render in a comic book style, chiefly because actress/comedian Whoopi Goldberg shaves her eyebrows, thereby negating an important feature of facial expression and definition. I was left to use tonal textures to achieve the look I wanted.
With the Klingons, I attempted to depict nearly every version that had appeared since the first feature film.

It was a lot of fun to do this one, and it's always great to see how each detail did not go unappreciated by the Trek fans. I reckon that makes all the hard work a resounding -- Qapla'!!!
