Comic Book Cover, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Malibu Comics. Brush, ink, china marker. Airbrushed color art added by the incredibly talented Richard Ory. I personally requested him, and recognize that his contribution is what makes this piece of art successful. I wanted a traditional, painted look instead of the overdone digital color that was then still in its infancy. Nevertheless, I never liked this show. It was the beginning of the end for Trek. Detail Trivia: I concealed the acronym DS9 in the 2-Dimensional corner designs.
Great piece! Until I saw this one, I only remember drooling over Gordon Purcell's TNG covers. Awesome pencilling, man! Hmm... I think I may have been exposed to your art before in the few Trek comicbooks I still have... gotta check 'em out.
Definitely going to my list.

Dang... This is awesome... Looks exactly like the way the actors looked the first couple seasons! And you didn't even like the show? I'm very much impressed. Great job!
Yeah, I guess I'm what could be regarded as Trek Orthodox. LOL! I preferred it when Star Trek was all about the crew of the Enterprise, boldly going where no man had gone before. It wasn't until the breakout 3rd season of The Next Generation that even that new crew won me over.
But no, all the other spin-off shows failed to capture my undying affection and devotion. I acknowledge the occasional brilliant episode, but overall, the lack of genuine chemistry and consistent quality never earned my loyalty.
Despite this, I still owed it to my own sense of professionalism to always do the best I could in all my illustrations.
And again, with this one I got a tremendous assist from Mr. Richard Ory.

Yeah, Gordon is a pal, but I was on board DC's Trek titles long before he beamed in.
I'm unaware of Gordon's contributions, if any, to Malibu Comics' Trek run.
