Martian Sea Serpent

In a brief scene on a city waterfront, the Justice League makes an offensive strike against the Crime Syndicate. Upon confronting super-powered foes (including the alternate Green Arrow called The Archer), the Martian Manhunter transforms into a giant sea serpent. I had a bit of fun designing this creature, relying on ancient mythology.  These are my own color selections, and do not reflect those of the final screen version.  I hope you like it, and thanks so much for viewing!

*** At this very moment (2/22/2011), I have been informed of the sudden death of Dwayne McDuffie, the writer of this show, and creator of so many characters in the DC Universe. We are shaken and saddened here at Warner Bros. I pray for strength and comfort for his loved ones in this time of tragedy.
