Comic Book Cover, Wraparound, Malibu Comics Ultraverse Handbook. Pencil, Ink. Just as the top comic book publishers printed encyclopedia volumes featuring all their characters, so too did Malibu prepare its compendium. However, the company was dissolved into the Marvel Empire before this cover saw publication. Rather than typically throw all the featured characters up in a burst, I tried for a thematic concept, influenced at the time by Pixar's TOY STORY. The idea was that FedEx had dropped a mishandled package at the doorstep of a kid comic book geek. The kid looks out the window in time to see all the comics, cards, and buttons spill out, and all the characters magically springing to 3-dimensional life. lol Silly, but it made drawing that crowd of characters more fun for me.

>sigh!<... The doctor put me traction for 3 weeks after this mutha. I still gotta take my meds.

Wonderful composition on this and it's really great to see a Malibu piece that doesn't have Hardcase or Prime featured as prominently. After all Malibu had some other greats that needed to shine once in a while.

What is that expression? Jack of all trades, master of none?

Not true. You defy that. Excellent work.

As I said, Big Bad Marvel gobbled up Li'l Malibu.
Ya know how Day gets swallowed up by Night, but in there's a shadowy In-Between where spooks and demons can enter through the gateway?

Juggernaut was one o' dem demons that crossed over before Malibu went into that dark Night.

OH, there are some Malibu characters Marvel should use somehow.
Good work by the way.

Aww man! Uber elaborated group pics are a pain. I dunno what to do first, shake your hand for your patience and inspiration or stare like the novice I am at this... I think I'll choose the latter coz I might just learn something... :wow: Amazing work, as USUAL!
