Well... I reckon it's safe to post this now, seeing as the movie raced through its theatrical release as speedily as the title character's namesake. Heheh.
This was a freelance assignment, and they wanted me to render the famous racecar as a simplified hard graphic, for use as a design image. I remember the cartoon show as a kid, and I was quite fond of the Mach 5. It ranks alongside the Batmobile from the 60s "Batman" television show in high esteem. As faithful as the filmmakers were, they did, however, make changes to the iconic vehicle. But I must say that I didn't find the alterations objectionable at all here, purist that I usually am. I now proudly possess both toy versions, classic and contemporary.
