WB Character Design, GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS, Bolphunga. Pencil.

This was one of a few concept sketches for the Bolphunga character, under the direction of Executive Producer Bruce Timm, Producer Lauren Montgomery, and Director Jay Oliva. Bruce praised this drawing, but in the end, it wasn't quite the approach Oliva wanted. I endeavored to depict Bolphunga's tremendous pride, particularly in his body language, despite his numerous battle scars and disfigurement. The dual-opposing thumbs was a feature that was also dropped, but this appears in other alien character designs of mine because I think it's freakishly cool.

On my first quick glance, I for some reason thought this could have fitted as being a villan for the 2011 Thundercats-show. LOL.

Love love LOVE the dual thumbs idea! I personally think this initial sketch would've been phenomenal, but I'm sure I'll like the final one when I see it too.
